The “Nos” One Should Avoid.

You may be an expert in your field and personally good at what you do, but if your intention is to grow your business then you have to be able to lead effectively.

People do not leave companies; they leave their bosses who confuse titles for real leadership. Think about it ….. haven’t you left a good job for the same reason?

On the other hand, people will walk away if their boss’s failure to trust them kills their initiative and make them into disappointed robots – just filling time doing exactly what they are told to do.

Your people will walk away if their boss’s inability to make a decision and stick to it causes confusion and frustration about what is next and kills any hope of progress.

Very often, we do see people walking away if their boss’s failure to consider their feedback and their lack of empathy often kills the hearts they used to put into their work.

People will rather walk away if their boss’s failure to inspire belief makes them wary of every decision and kills their willingness to “just trust me on this.”

In many cases, people are prepared to walk away if their boss’s negativity kills their desire and motivation to turn problems into opportunities.

Finally, the “it’s all about me” attitude – your ideas, your way and what is good for you. People often walk away if their boss’s arrogance, self-serving interest and constant need to take credit for the good work of othres kill their interest and enthusiasm.

Without followers, you will be limited to doing only what you are capable of doing alone. No matter how great the company or the job is. And without commited followers, growth is not possible. Think about it.
